The North East Harbor Yacht Club Race Committee delayed the start of the race hoping for more wind. It was not to be and out of the 17 beautiful sailing yachts which started the race only 10 finished due to the extraordinary light air or total lack of wind in the early stages of the race. Those who managed to sail through the light stuff during the night were rewarded with some great sailing the next day. POPPAEA and FIREFLY were sailing within sight of each other for the entire 120 miles. The Royal Western Nova Scotia Yacht Club hosted a dinner at the Fundy Restaurant for those fortunate enough to arrive in time.
First Yacht to Finish
 Sailing Yacht POPPAEA
Morris 45' - Captain Andrew von Hirsch with an elapsed time of 25hrs. 4mins. 12secs.
